Error message "Failed To Obtain IP Address" is displayed when a user attempts to access the Internet over a Wi-Fi network. Any device that connects to a network is assigned an IP address by a router. A router cannot recognize your device without this address. An IP configuration failure prevents the user from connecting to a Wi-Fi network, as displayed by this IP configuration failure message.

In many cases, this is due to the following factors:

1. Poor Wi-Fi signal. Reduce the distance between your device and the router if this is the case.;
2. The encryption technique you've selected doesn't work correctly on your device.
3. Enabled MAC filtering. It's conceivable that your address isn't in the list of whitelisted addresses.

 

Ways to fix the IP configuration failure error

 

On an Android device

1. Reconnect to a network

Attempting this method is a good place to start. A new IP address is generated by the router, which disregards the prior attempt to assign one to you. If the issue is caused by transitory interference, this should help. Follow these steps to do this: Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Select the Wi-Fi network, and then choose Forget Network.

After this, log in to this network as usual.

2. Change the encryption type
